Muhammad Ali Tabba

Chairman

Mr. Muhammad Ali Tabba is the current Chief Executive of Lucky Cement Limited (LCL), having taken over from his late father in 2005. Mr. Tabba also serves as the Chairman of Yunus Textile Mills Ltd, Lucky Motors Corporation, Lucky Electric Power Company Ltd, and Gadoon Textile Mills Ltd. He plays a key role in providing strategic leadership to Lucky Core Industries Limited (formerly ICI Pakistan Limited) as its Vice Chairman.

Mr. Tabba began his career with Yunus Brothers Group (YBG) in 1991. YBG is a family conglomerate and one of the leading business houses in Pakistan with diversified interests in Building Materials, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Energy, Textiles, Automotive, and Real Estate Development.

Mr. Tabba also holds key positions in various industry and community organizations. He serves as the Chairman of All Pakistan Cement Manufacturing Association and has previously been the Chairman of Pakistan Textile Council and Pakistan Business Council. He is actively engaged in many community welfare projects and sits on the Board of Governors of renowned universities, institutions, and foundations.

Mr. Tabba is the Vice Chairman of Aziz Tabba Foundation (ATF), a non-profit organization working extensively in the field of social welfare, education, health, and housing. ATF operates two state-of-the-art hospitals in Karachi, including the Tabba Heart Institute and Tabba Kidney Institute.

In recognition of his contributions to the social development sector of Pakistan, Mr. Tabba was awarded the title of Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2010. He has also received the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry “Businessman of the Year” Gold Medal Award for 2012-2013.

The Government of Pakistan has also awarded Mr. Tabba the Sitara-E-Imtiaz Award in 2018, which is one of the highest civilian awards in the country.

Muhammad Sohail Tabba

Mr. Muhammad Sohail Tabba, one of Pakistan’s leading business leaders and a philanthropist, leads a conglomerate of businesses and export houses under the YBG brand name. His proficient leadership in diverse sectors – textiles, cement, energy, entertainment, real estate and philanthropy – spanning over three decades – has earned laurels and accolades for his group and the country.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Gadoon Textile Mills Limited, Lucky Knits (Private) Limited and Director of Yunus Textile Mills Limited, Lucky Textile Mills Limited, he has made YBG renowned both locally and globally. The flourishing industries and manufacturing houses have provided employment opportunities to over 15,000 people and are key drivers of the economy.

Mr. Tabba has become the Chairman of Lucky Core Industries (formerly ICI Pakistan Limited) in 2014 and was appointed as the Chairman on the board of Lucky Cement Limited in 2023. Previously, he has also served as the Chairman on the board of Nutrico Morinaga (Pvt) Limited.

Mr. Tabba’s relentless energy, vision, and an uncanny ability to think outside the box, resulted in the creation of LuckyOne Mall, which attracts people from all walks of life. His vision was also to provide a world-class entertainment facility for children which materialised as Onederland at LuckyOne Mall.

Besides being the Chairman of Yunus Energy Limited and CEO of Lucky Energy (Private) Limited, Lucky One (Private) Limited; Mr Tabba is the Director of Lucky Motor Corporation Limited, and several other companies. Mr. Tabba’s strong social presence in the business community has led him to become the founding member and first Vice President of the Italian Development Council. He is playing an instrumental role in contributing to the educational landscape of Pakistan by serving on the Board of Governors of the Textile Institute of Pakistan. He has also previously served on the board of Hamdard University.

Driven towards contributing to the community, Mr Tabba is also a Director at Aziz Tabba Foundation that runs the Tabba Heart and Kidney Institutes, in addition to other welfare projects. His determination to contribute to the community has transformed the pediatric emergency rooms of government hospitals across Pakistan. Mr Tabba became the Founding Trustee of ChildLife Foundation Pakistan in 2012. His contributions to the healthcare sector of all 4 provinces of Pakistan have manifested in the treatment of 5 million children in ChildLife Emergency Rooms and 0.7 million children in SINA-ChildLife Clinics. In the past decade, ChildLife Foundation has evolved extraordinarily and today, 12 contemporary emergency rooms are functioning efficiently in the under-resourced hospitals of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab & Islamabad, whereas ChildLife is operating in 118 telemedicine satellite centers of Sindh and Balochistan, marking its presence in 130 hospitals of Pakistan.

Jawed Yunus Tabba

Mr Jawed Yunus Tabba joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director in April, 2014.

Mr Tabba has a rich experience in the textiles industry and is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Lucky Textile Mills Limited. With expertise in the manufacture and export of textiles, he has been instrumental in managing the textile concerns of the Yunus Brothers Group (YBG), whilst transforming Lucky Textile Mills Limited into one of the premier textile manufacturers and among the top five home textiles exporters of Pakistan.

Mr Tabba serves on the Board and related sub-committees of Lucky Cement Limited, Gadoon Textile Mills Limited and Lucky Motors Corporation Limited. Mr Tabba as a Director, also manages the group’s real estate project Lucky One (Private) Limited – the largest mall in Pakistan, a multi-faceted, first-of-its-kind regional shopping mall that has revolutionised shopping in Pakistan.

Mr Tabba is a Director of Aziz Tabba Foundation (ATF) where he is extensively engaged in community welfare projects. He is working extensively in the field of social welfare, education, health and housing. He is also a member of the Young President Organization (YPO).

Muhammad Hassan Tabba

Hassan Tabba is the Chief Executive Officer of Yunus Textile Mills Limited (YTML).

He graduated in 2019 from Bentley University in Business & Finance. After graduating, Hassan worked on developing corporate strategies. Upon joining YTML, he has not only developed the organizational culture and promoted transparency and collaboration throughout the organization, but has also worked on developing partnerships with company stakeholders, shareholders, industry regulators and other relevant parties.

He started his career with Yunus Brothers Group (YBG). The group has joint venture Manufacturing Companies in Iraq, the DRC and trading operations in the UAE. The group has an annual turnover of over USD 3 billion and assets worth USD 2.5 billion.

Javed Kureishi

Independent Director

Mr. Javed Kureishi is a career Banker with a rich and diverse experience of more than 34 years with Citibank both in Pakistan and across 5 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, where he worked for 9 years. His various roles have included Senior leadership roles in Country Management, Risk, Corporate and Institutional Banking, Strategy, and managing Multinational Subsidiaries and Public Sector businesses at the country and regional levels. Mr. Kureishi is presently working for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as a consultant responsible for business development. He has a BA (Hons) from the University of Sussex UK.


Aside from his professional career, Mr. Kureishi has also been a keen cricketer. He played first-class cricket for PIA and Karachi 1977-81 and for Sussex Under 25 1982-84. He was also captain of Pakistan Under 19 cricket team on its tour of India and Sri Lanka 1978-79. Mr. Kureishi has also been a University level field hockey player.

Hasan Raza Rahim

Independent Director

Mr. Rahim is an accomplished professional who has 40 years of domestic and international experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry. He brings with him 10 years of public listed company board and governance knowledge and is currently serving on the boards of Atlas Insurance Limited, Burj Clean Energy Modaraba and Mirpurkhas Sugar Mills Limited. He has also served on the boards of Cyan Limited, Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited (DH Corp), Dawood Lawrencepur Limited, Hascol Limited, and Hum Networks Limited.


Previously, Mr. Rahim was the Executive Director in-charge of the Chairman’s Office of the Dawood Group which consists of several listed and unlisted companies and is one of the largest entrepreneurial groups in Pakistan. DH Corp is the flagship investment entity of the Dawood Group which has a large minority shareholding in Engro Corporation Limited.

During his banking career, Mr. Rahim spent 15 years at JPMorgan where he held several senior positions both in Pakistan and abroad. His accomplishments include assisting in establishing and heading the Global Corporate Bank in Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, was Senior Country Officer of Pakistan and and was an integral part of the Regional Corporate Finance team based in Singapore. He has originated, led and executed large and complex Mergers & Acquisition transactions and Privatizations totaling over USD 5.0 billion,Sovereign Debt and Bond issues of over USD 2.0 billion in the Telecom, Airlines, Banking, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries.

Earlier in his career Mr. Rahim, also held senior positions with MashreqBank psc and ANZ Grindlays Bank plc. He has worked in several international locations that included Zurich, Singapore, Bahrain and Dubai.

He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in USA; is also an International Finance Corporation certified trainer to conduct corporate governance training; is a Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance certified Director and on its faculty.

Khalid Rehman

Independent Director

Mr Khalid Rahman was appointment as an independent director on the Board of Lucky Power Electric Company Ltd on 20th October, 2024

Academically, he is a Chartered Accountant from Pakistan, Canada and England & Wales. He is an alumnus of the Graduate Business School, Stanford University and Kellogg Graduate School of Management, North Western University.

Mr Rahman’s professional experience spans over 40 years in UK, Hong Kong and Pakistan in banking and oil and gas industry. He served as CEO and MD of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited for three years. Simultaneously he coordinated Gas Sector Reforms as Team Leader in collaboration with the World Bank. Previously Mr. Rahman worked with Pakistan Petroleum Limited for 20 years from 1992 to 2012, in various senior management positions including CEO & MD, DMD, CFO and Company Secretary. He also worked with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan as the Chief Operating Officer

He is a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and currently chairing the Overseas Coordination Committee in addition he is a member of the Executive Committee, Examination Committee, Members Affairs Committee, Professional Accountants in Business Committee and the Accounting Standards Board. Internationally he has been professionally associated with International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) since 2009 in various Committees. Currently, he is serving as Member Nomination Committee of IFAC, representing the entire Asia Pacific Region.

He is an independent director on the Board of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited and chairs its Board Audit Committee and is a member of the Risk Committee and Investment Advisory & Building Committee. He also chairs the Audit Committee of Lady Rehmatullah Benevolent Trust.

Intisar ul Haq Haqqi

Mr. Haqqi is a seasoned professional with a background in Marine Engineering. He completed his Marine Engineering Training at the Pakistan Marine Academy and subsequently gained valuable experience across various roles within the maritime industry.
He began his career with the Iran National Shipping Lines, where he served as Fifth and Fourth Engineer, gaining hands-on experience in vessel operations and maintenance. He then transitioned to Gulf East Ship Management in Hong Kong, where he progressed through the ranks, serving as Fourth, Third, and Second Engineer. This role provided him with a comprehensive understanding of ship management and engineering practices.
Following his time at Gulf East Ship Management, Mr. Haqqi joined Income Shipping in London as an Engineer Superintendent, overseeing technical operations and ensuring compliance with industry standards. His tenure in this role further honed his leadership and management skills.
Mr. Haqqi then moved to Lucky Cement Limited, where he assumed the position of Director Power Generation. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing power generation operations, contributing to the company’s success in the energy sector.
With over 30 years of experience in the shore power industry in Pakistan, Mr. Haqqi possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Throughout his career in the merchant navy, he actively participated in meetings, negotiations, and the finalization of technical contract deals for various equipment, demonstrating his strong business acumen and ability to drive results.
He started Lucky Electric Power Project in July-2014 and headed the project as Chief Executive Office. In October 2021 he became member Board of Directors for Lucky Electric Power Company Limited and also served as Executive Director – Technical, in this capacity, continues to leverage extensive experience and skills to effectively lead technical operations.

Atif Kaludi

Mr. Atif Kaludi is a distinguished finance executive renowned for his strategic financial acumen. He brings a wealth of diverse industry experience encompassing finance, strategic planning, and operational management. His expertise spans multiple sectors, including cement, power generation, and fertilizers. Throughout his career, he has effectively steered financial strategies, fostered stakeholder communication, and showcased remarkable industry networking prowess.

At the helm of his leadership journey, Mr. Kaludi has held pivotal positions, notably serving as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Finance at Lucky Cement Ltd., where he displayed exceptional financial stewardship. His impactful roles as CFO at Engro Fertilizers and Engro Powergen further solidify his prowess.

With an illustrious career spanning more than two decades, he has consistently excelled in bolstering investor relations, achieving ESG excellence, optimizing debt structures, orchestrating successful IPOs, and conducting insightful M&A evaluations.

Furthermore, Mr. Kaludi contributes significantly as a Board member of Lucky Electric Power Company Limited, a subsidiary of Lucky Cement Limited. His unwavering dedication to strategic financial management has positioned him as an invaluable catalyst in propelling businesses towards excellence.

Zulfiqar Rana

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Zulfiqar Rana, a Mechanical Engineer with an MBA in Project Management, brings over 32 years of extensive experience in the power sector. His expertise spans energy sector reforms, development, execution, consultancy, and O&M across various power plants, including CCGT, Thermal, and Renewables.

With a distinguished career, Mr. Rana has held leadership roles in some of the world’s largest power companies. Prior to his tenure at Lucky Electric Power Company, he contributed to the success of O&M Solutions, ThalNova Power, AES Pakistan, and ACWA Power in senior management capacities.

Mr. Rana’s significant contributions include leading the techno-commercial aspects of business development at AES Pakistan. Under his guidance, the team successfully completed a detailed feasibility study for a 1200MW coal-fired power plant in Pakistan, successful completion of Orient Power, Saif Power Halmore, JDW and many more from inception, construction till Operation & Maintenance.

Naeem Kasbati

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Naeem Kasbati, a distinguished fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, and a Certified Public Accountant from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, brings over 35 years of invaluable experience to the table.

With a solid background in streamlining operations, cost reduction, strategic planning, financial reporting, and fund management, Mr. Kasbati is a seasoned professional in the power sector. Over the course of twenty-five years, he has held senior management positions and played a pivotal role in strategic decision-making for prominent organizations in the sector.

His expertise and insights are instrumental in driving our financial strategies and ensuring the continued success and growth of Lucky Electric Power Company.

Abul Fazal Rizvi

Chief Supply Chain & Commercial Officer

(COSC & CO)

Mr. Rizvi brings over 25 years of diverse experience in developing and executing large-scale, multi-billion dollar greenfield and brownfield projects, collaborating with both local and foreign sponsors from the private and public sectors. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in design, engineering, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of chemical fertilizer plants, Mr. Rizvi is a seasoned expert in the field.

Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company, where he successfully oversaw the construction and operation of Pakistan’s first open-pit coal mine. His collaborative efforts with multiple foreign contractors and consultants were pivotal in establishing a sustainable and inclusive development model.

Mr. Rizvi’s leadership journey also includes significant roles at Engro Energy Limited and Engro Fertilizer Limited.

He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and has completed a Leadership program from INSEAD, France. His wealth of knowledge and experience significantly contributes to the success and growth of Lucky Electric Power Company.

Mr. Asad brings over 30 years of extensive experience in leading local and international organizations, specializing in project management..

With a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Southern Illinois University (SIU), USA, and a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Taxila, Pakistan, Mr. Asad possesses a strong educational background.

Beginning his professional journey at the Office of the City Engineer, City of Kirkwood, Missouri, USA, Mr. Asad gained valuable insights before joining Lucky Cement Limited as an Assistant Manager Civil.

Since February 2015, Mr. Asad, as project director, has contributed his wealth of knowledge and expertise to drive the company’s success and growth.

Moiz Saifuddin

Mr. Moiz is a seasoned finance professional with a wealth of expertise spanning over 15 years. His diverse experience encompasses Strategy, General Management, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning, and Audit, making him a versatile leader in the field.

With a proven track record in project management, Mr. Moiz has played a key role in the successful financial close of a power project, demonstrating his strategic acumen and ability to navigate complex challenges.

Before joining Lucky Electric Power Company, Mr. Moiz served as the Chief Financial Officer at Habibullah Coastal Power Company, where he honed his skills in financial management and leadership.

Mr. Tabba began his career with Yunus Brothers Group (YBG) in 1991. YBG is a family conglomerate and one of the leading business houses in Pakistan with diversified interests in Building Materials, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Energy, Textiles, Automotive, and Real Estate Development.

Mr. Tabba also holds key positions in various industry and community organizations. He serves as the Chairman of All Pakistan Cement Manufacturing Association and has previously been the Chairman of Pakistan Textile Council and Pakistan Business Council. He is actively engaged in many community welfare projects and sits on the Board of Governors of renowned universities, institutions, and foundations.

Mr. Tabba is the Vice Chairman of Aziz Tabba Foundation (ATF), a non-profit organization working extensively in the field of social welfare, education, health, and housing. ATF operates two state-of-the-art hospitals in Karachi, including the Tabba Heart Institute and Tabba Kidney Institute.

In recognition of his contributions to the social development sector of Pakistan, Mr. Tabba was awarded the title of Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2010. He has also received the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry “Businessman of the Year” Gold Medal Award for 2012-2013.

The Government of Pakistan has also awarded Mr. Tabba the Sitara-E-Imtiaz Award in 2018, which is one of the highest civilian awards in the country.

Muhammad Sohail Tabba

Mr. Muhammad Sohail Tabba, one of Pakistan’s leading business leaders and a philanthropist, leads a conglomerate of businesses and export houses under the YBG brand name. His proficient leadership in diverse sectors – textiles, cement, energy, entertainment, real estate and philanthropy – spanning over three decades – has earned laurels and accolades for his group and the country.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Gadoon Textile Mills Limited, Lucky Knits (Private) Limited and Director of Yunus Textile Mills Limited, Lucky Textile Mills Limited, he has made YBG renowned both locally and globally. The flourishing industries and manufacturing houses have provided employment opportunities to over 15,000 people and are key drivers of the economy.

Mr. Tabba has become the Chairman of Lucky Core Industries (formerly ICI Pakistan Limited) in 2014 and was appointed as the Chairman on the board of Lucky Cement Limited in 2023. Previously, he has also served as the Chairman on the board of Nutrico Morinaga (Pvt) Limited.

Mr. Tabba’s relentless energy, vision, and an uncanny ability to think outside the box, resulted in the creation of LuckyOne Mall, which attracts people from all walks of life. His vision was also to provide a world-class entertainment facility for children which materialised as Onederland at LuckyOne Mall.

Besides being the Chairman of Yunus Energy Limited and CEO of Lucky Energy (Private) Limited, Lucky One (Private) Limited; Mr Tabba is the Director of Lucky Motor Corporation Limited, and several other companies. Mr. Tabba’s strong social presence in the business community has led him to become the founding member and first Vice President of the Italian Development Council. He is playing an instrumental role in contributing to the educational landscape of Pakistan by serving on the Board of Governors of the Textile Institute of Pakistan. He has also previously served on the board of Hamdard University.

Driven towards contributing to the community, Mr Tabba is also a Director at Aziz Tabba Foundation that runs the Tabba Heart and Kidney Institutes, in addition to other welfare projects. His determination to contribute to the community has transformed the pediatric emergency rooms of government hospitals across Pakistan. Mr Tabba became the Founding Trustee of ChildLife Foundation Pakistan in 2012. His contributions to the healthcare sector of all 4 provinces of Pakistan have manifested in the treatment of 5 million children in ChildLife Emergency Rooms and 0.7 million children in SINA-ChildLife Clinics. In the past decade, ChildLife Foundation has evolved extraordinarily and today, 12 contemporary emergency rooms are functioning efficiently in the under-resourced hospitals of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab & Islamabad, whereas ChildLife is operating in 118 telemedicine satellite centers of Sindh and Balochistan, marking its presence in 130 hospitals of Pakistan.

Jawed Yunus Tabba

Mr Jawed Yunus Tabba joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director in April, 2014.

Mr Tabba has a rich experience in the textiles industry and is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Lucky Textile Mills Limited. With expertise in the manufacture and export of textiles, he has been instrumental in managing the textile concerns of the Yunus Brothers Group (YBG), whilst transforming Lucky Textile Mills Limited into one of the premier textile manufacturers and among the top five home textiles exporters of Pakistan.

Mr Tabba serves on the Board and related sub-committees of Lucky Cement Limited, Gadoon Textile Mills Limited and Lucky Motors Corporation Limited. Mr Tabba as a Director, also manages the group’s real estate project Lucky One (Private) Limited – the largest mall in Pakistan, a multi-faceted, first-of-its-kind regional shopping mall that has revolutionised shopping in Pakistan.

Mr Tabba is a Director of Aziz Tabba Foundation (ATF) where he is extensively engaged in community welfare projects. He is working extensively in the field of social welfare, education, health and housing. He is also a member of the Young President Organization (YPO).

Muhammad Hassan Tabba

Hassan Tabba is the Chief Executive Officer of Yunus Textile Mills Limited (YTML).
He graduated in 2019 from Bentley University in Business & Finance. After graduating, Hassan worked on developing corporate strategies. Upon joining YTML, he has not only developed the organizational culture and promoted transparency and collaboration throughout the organization, but has also worked on developing partnerships with company stakeholders, shareholders, industry regulators and other relevant parties.
He started his career with Yunus Brothers Group (YBG). The group has joint venture Manufacturing Companies in Iraq, the DRC and trading operations in the UAE. The group has an annual turnover of over USD 3 billion and assets worth USD 2.5 billion.

Intisar ul Haq Haqqi

Mr Haqqi has completed his Marine Engineering Training from the Pakistan Marine Academy and went on to work with the Iran National Shipping Lines as Fifth and Fourth Engineer, the Gulf East Ship Management Hong Kong as Fourth, Third and Second Engineer, Income Shipping London as Engineer Superintendent and finally he joined Lucky Cement Limited as Director Power Generation. Mr Haqqi has 25 years of rich experience with the shore power industry in Pakistan. During his wide experience of merchant navy, he had a chance to have meetings, negotiations and finalized the technical contract deals for various equipment. He is currently the Executive Director – Technical at Lucky Electric Power Company Limited.

Atif Kaludi

Mr. Atif Kaludi is a distinguished finance executive renowned for his strategic financial acumen. He brings a wealth of diverse industry experience encompassing finance, strategic planning, and operational management. His expertise spans multiple sectors, including cement, power generation, and fertilizers. Throughout his career, he has effectively steered financial strategies, fostered stakeholder communication, and showcased remarkable industry networking prowess.

At the helm of his leadership journey, Mr. Kaludi has held pivotal positions, notably serving as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Finance at Lucky Cement Ltd., where he displayed exceptional financial stewardship. His impactful roles as CFO at Engro Fertilizers and Engro Powergen further solidify his prowess.

With an illustrious career spanning more than two decades, he has consistently excelled in bolstering investor relations, achieving ESG excellence, optimizing debt structures, orchestrating successful IPOs, and conducting insightful M&A evaluations.

Furthermore, Mr. Kaludi contributes significantly as a Board member of Lucky Electric Power Company Limited, a subsidiary of Lucky Cement Limited. His unwavering dedication to strategic financial management has positioned him as an invaluable catalyst in propelling businesses towards excellence.

Ruhail Muhammad (Chief Executive Officer)

Ruhail Muhammad’s career spans over 35 years in general management, business development, strategy, financial planning, and people development. He has held various
C-suite positions in companies focusing on a diverse range of activities from Chemicals to Energy. He is currently CEO of Lucky Electric Power Company Limited, a 660MW IPP subsidiary of Lucky Cement. Prior to this, he was CEO of Hub Power Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of HUBCO, Pakistan’s largest IPP. He was responsible for managing the growing portfolio of HUBCO, evaluating onshore & offshore acquisitions, project financing, economic evaluation of all growth projects, and financial re-engineering to support the growth vision of the Company. Prior to HUBCO, he was the CEO of Engro Fertilizers from 2012-2018. He has served on the Boards of Engro Corp and various Engro subsidiaries. In addition, he has also served/serving on the Boards of K Electric, Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, British Overseas School, KP Energy Board (PEDO), EFU Life, Dawood Lawrencepur and as Chairman of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited. He is a CFA Charter Holder and holds an MBA degree from the Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan. He has attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD as well as an Agri-Business certification from the Harvard Business School.

Zulfiqar Rana (Chief Operating Officer)

Mr. Zulfiqar Rana is a Mechanical Engineer and holds MBA in Project Management. He brings over 32 years of experience in the power sector in energy sector reforms, development, execution, consultancy and O&M across multiple power plants including CCGT, Thermal and Solar plant. Mr. Rana has worked with some of the world’s largest power companies in Leadership roles. Prior to joining Lucky Electric Power Company, he has served O&M Solutions, ThalNova Power, AES Pakistan and ACWA Power in senior management roles. He also led the techno commercial side of business development team of AES Pakistan that successfully completed the detailed feasibility study for 1200MW Coal fired power plant in Pakistan.

Naeem Kasbati (Chief Financial Officer)

Mr. Naeem Kasbati is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan and a Certified Public Accountant from American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has over 30 years of experience with expertise in streamlining operations, cost reduction, strategizing, financial planning, reporting and fund management. Mr. Kasbati has been associated with the power sector for over twenty five years in senior management positions and has played an integral role in strategic decision making for leading organizations in the sector.

Abul Fazal Rizvi (COSC & CO)

Mr. Rizvi comes with over 25 years of diversified experience in developing and executing large scale, multi-billion dollar green & brown-field projects involving both local and foreign sponsors from private and public sector. Further, he has over 15 years of hands-on experience in design, engineering, construction, commissioning and maintenance of chemical fertilizer plants.
Prior to joining Lucky Electric Power Company, he was Chief Executive Officer of Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company. He has to his credit successful construction and making operational Pakistan’s 1st open-pit coal mine in collaboration with multiple foreign contractors and consultants based on a sustainable and inclusive development model.
During his professional career Mr. Rizvi also served Engro Powergen Thar Limited and Engro Fertilizer Limited in various leadership roles.
He has done his Bachelors & Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and also completed Leadership program from INSEAD, France.

Muhammad-Asad-(HGR)

Mr. Asad has over 30 years of experience and has headed local and international organizations and his area of expertise include planning and development of industrial and infrastructure projects. Mr. Asad completed his Bachelor’s in Engineering from Southern Illinois University (SIU), USA and Masters in Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Taxila, Pakistan. Mr. Asad began his professional career from Office of the City Engineer, City of Kirkwood, Missouri, USA and then joined Lucky Cement Limited as ‘Assistant Manager Civil’. Since February 2015 Mr. Asad is part of Lucky Electric Power Company Limited.

Moiz Saifuddin (GM Finance and Company Secretary)

Mr. Moiz is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of diversified experience in Strategy, General Management, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Audit. His past experience includes project management including financial close of a power project.
Prior to joining Lucky Electric Power Company, he was serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Habibullah Coastal Power Company.
